It surprises me to find that Breaking Dawn actor Taylor Lautner even knows who Tom Cruiseis, let alone have any admiration for the aging actor. I mean, we had admiration for Tom, before he turned into a crazy, couch jumping Scientolo-nutbar. Hey, we’ll always have Top Gun, right?
Regardless, Taylor says that he would kill to have a career like Tom’s. Oh would he now? Everyone and their mother makes fun of Tom for being a wing nut, so I have to wonder what’s so admirable about that? He’s become even more known for his antics of preaching the word of L. Ron Hubbard, than of being good at any roles since Jerry Maguire.
Taylor said, “The most important thing I did was sit down beforehand and watch a lot of movies and study actors that I look up to. We studied Tom Cruise in Minority Report, Harrison Ford, Matt Damon, Denzel Washington. I would love to follow in their footsteps. That would be an honor, to be compared to people like that. I look up to Tom Cruise and Matt Damon. I would kill to have the careers they’ve had.”
Something tells us that good ol’ Tom is probably wishes that he had Taylor’s career and career options at this juncture. Call it a hunch.
